Kay is a part-time salaried GP and a GP with a special interest in headache in Bradford. She is also a Trustee of The Migraine Trust.
In partnership with colleagues from primary care and the neurology department at Bradford she established a Primary Care headache service in 2006 which is part of the Bradford community neurology service. This receives referrals from surrounding practices and secondary care. In 2010 she was appointed to the NICE Guideline Development Group on Headache. In 2021 she joined the board of Trustees for the Migraine Trust.
In the last year Kay has contributed to the NHSE Neurology Transformation Programme, the GIRFT programme, and to the Migraine Trust and Neurological Alliance tool to support commissioners to optimise headache services.
Kay is passionate about supporting fellow clinicians working in primary care to maximise our potential to care for people living with migraine.
