First held in 1976, MTIS is the world’s longest-established headache conference. Our aim has always been to unite clinicians and scientists interested in headache research while maintaining a strong connection with our most valuable stakeholders: headache patients, particularly those affected by migraine, and their carers.
MTIS 2026 is an international event that attracts participants from across the globe, offering both in-person and virtual participation to ensure broad accessibility and engagement.

Teaching courses commence: 10.00am with registration and refreshments from 09.00 am.
Fees: Standard rate £60.00 + vat, AHPs, Trainee Neurologists and Speciality Registrars £30.00 + vat.
Teaching courses
Teaching courses are a core part of the pre-conference programme, created to support frontline healthcare professionals who manage headache disorders in everyday practice. They are specifically aimed at primary care practitioners, allied health professionals, and other clinicians involved in patient care.
These focused educational sessions are delivered by experienced clinicians, general practitioners, and researchers who specialise in headache care, particularly migraine. Each course is designed to be practical, up to date, and directly relevant to real-world clinical settings.
The aim is to give attendees greater confidence to recognise and understand headache disorders, manage them effectively, and support patients in their day-to-day practice. By strengthening knowledge and decision-making at the first point of care, these courses contribute to better outcomes for patients and a more consistent standard of treatment across services.

We are delighted to invite researchers, academics and industry professionals from all career stages to present their research findings at MTIS 2026. To apply, please submit an abstract for consideration by the Scientific Review Committee before Friday 17 July 2026.
