Piero Barbanti, MD, PhD, is Full Professor of Neurology at San Raffaele University, Rome, and Director of the Headache and Pain Unit at IRCCS San Raffaele.
He serves as President of the Italian Headache Sufferers Association and as a member of the Board of Trustees of the International Headache Society. He is the founder of the Italian Migraine Registry. His work has focused on headache disorders since the early 1990s.
He has authored 183 peer-reviewed publications, with over 5,265 citations and an H-index of 42. Furthermore, he has served as principal investigator in 71 clinical trials. He lectures internationally and serves on multiple editorial boards.
