Dr María Dolores Villar-Martínez

Dr María Dolores Villar-Martínez is a Consultant Neurologist and Clinical Research Fellow in headache and neuro-otology at King’s College London and Charing Cross Hospital with professors Peter Goadsby and Adolfo Bronstein, respectively. Her research focuses on the non-headache symptoms of migraine, particularly the mechanisms underlying dizziness and vertigo in vestibular migraine, integrating detailed and prospective clinical phenotyping, eye movement recordings, and mechanistic human models to better understand the pathophysiology.

She serves as the Neuro-otology and Neuro-ophthalmology representative for the European Academy of Neurology Residents and Research Fellows Section and was recently awarded the AHSAM Early Career Award in recognition of her PhD research.
